This video is the first in a series. I am checking out the Spirit FBL from http://spirit-system.com. This flight controller uses the same rescue as the much more expensive Bavarian Demon flight controllers. It has vibration analysis, data logging, upright and inverted bail-out, plus a host of other features.

For now, I am putting this on my Align/Tarot 500.

This first video just shows you how the Spirit FBL comes (and what it comes with), how/where I installed it on my 500, where to get the software/manual/firmware, and finally, I take you through the process of updating the firmware (on my Mac).

I'm just getting started with this, so I have a lot to learn along the way. Looking forward to getting this up and running (although as mentioned in the video, I need to get an S.Bus adapter... Doh! ;-)

Thanks, ZeXx86.

BTW... first question on my video. I assume someone here can easily answer, but I haven't had a chance to test.

Can the Spirit FBL take a standard Spektrum RX and also use a sat in the satellite port?

If you use standard receiver and connect the satellite to the receiver, then it will work as supposed.
But if you want to use both receiver and satellite port in the unit, then it will not work, because both are different receiver types (not compatible).

Thanks! That makes sense to me. Not sure I fully understand why the question was asked to begin with, unless someone was hoping to combine a non-sat capable RX (like an AR600/AR610) with an added sat via the Spirit.
