I have a goblin 500 that rescues fine except it does fast pirouettes during the Rescue. Any ideas.

The pirouetting only happens while in stabilization mode. In normal mode the heli does a perfect Rescue.

Some new info. During the rescue while in stabi mode the heli fast pirouettes but when I let off the rescue button, the heli does a fast hard stop. Again a rescue while in normal mode works perfect.

i guess something is missing in your gyro gain settings when you press the "stabi" assigned button

i would check on transmitter servo monitor what value goes on gyro channel when you press button

All bank have the same value. I went through tab by tab checking each value. I just moved my rudder gain to a 1.5 multiplier to get my gain number down as a starting point. It was up close to 100 and I still did not have tail wag. Maybe this will help hold the tail as I increase the value. Bad weather today so I may check it out tomorrow.

You don't have to go tab by tab to check that the banks are the same. Just press the "<->" button on the Backup tab to check. You must be switching banks from Stabilisation to Rescue. Are you also switching to the same Rescue bank when you say that it works in "normal mode". What do you mean "normal mode", for example, like the Stabi Function changed from Stabilisation to Disabled?

Yes, I have 3 banks, “stabilization disabled”, “stabilization” and “rescue”.
If I am in “Stabilization disabled” and switch to the “rescue” bank everything works perfect.
When I am in “Stabilization” and switch to the “Rescue” bank the heli does a fast pirouettes while ascending straight upward and when I release the momentary switch the heli does a hard stop. I may be able to test it out again tomorrow after changing the common rudder gain. I was up to 100 and still did not get a tail wag.

Monitor your channel outputs when you switch to Rescue from Stabilization and when you switch to Rescue from Stabilization Disabled. Write down the channel outputs that result. When the Rescue bank is in control and if the channel outputs are the same, then there should be no difference. There must be some channel that is different between the two.

I have a switch that goes from Gyro positive to gyro negative. This switches from head-lock to head-lock + stabi in the diagnostics tab. When I move the switch it goes from my +65 gyro (head-lock)gain to my negative gyro (head-lock+stabi)gain of -65. I then have a mix for a momentary switch, Aux2>gyro. When I press this switch and it activates head-lock + Rescue in the diagnostic tab. So every time I press the rescue the Aux2 channel output is exactly the same, 100+ - 100-.
