I'm looking at moving over to Spirit for the OpenTX integration. Have some questions about logging which is going to be a determining factor for me.

Is the Spectrum Analyzer available through OpenTX integration? If not, is that something that may be added.

Otherwise is it possible to view vibration data for each of the three axis without using an interface device like a phone or laptop computer?

Does the log viewer LUA script show only the event log?

Hi,

welcome in our forum!

To show vibrations it is necessary to transmit very big amount of data in real time - this is not technically possible. So unfortunately this is not possible with any integration.

You can view vibration level in realtime thanks to telemetry. With your radio you can log the level during each flight.

Log Viewer is showing high vibration level.

So I understand the Spectrum Analyzer will never be accessible through OpenTX integration.

Vibration data can be logged through telemetry, but what data is available. Is there only one number averaging all three axis or can each axis be viewed individually?

What data can be viewed through the log viewer LUA script?

Thanks,

- Craig

Hello,

no, there is always possibility some feature will be available, including Vibration Analysis. OpenTX is very active and new features and possibilities are appearing with each update.
There is one value, since for the most pilots you really do not need to know which axis has raised vibration level when flying. You just need to know that the level is too high and something is not good. Also you can't fix it in any way during the flight. With vibration analysis in the software you can analyse the model comfortable at home since it can also tell you which part is bad.

You can also play the value(s) when flying.

With log viewer you can view all the log events that are available for Spirit units. See the manual (Diagnostic section).

Thanks,

I think I'll just have to try a uSpirit on my Oxy2 and see how things work out. Someone mentioned in another post that vibration telemetry is lacking in detail. Are there any plans to improve vibration telemetry?

What detail you are thinking about?
There is not too much what you can extract from numbers except vibration level.
