GeoLink
Cable: 22cm long, JST to JST connector

22cm is really short. In my 550 Heli i need at least 50cm from tail (geolink) to head (spirit pro). The first thing what to do when cable arrive is soldering :?

I suggest you include at least the option to pick a longer jst wire for those who are flying helis with tapered tail booms like Goblin 380 or Protos Evo. Because for example for the Evo, one can only make a proper mounting point at the untapered part (parallel to the blade and perpendicular to the shaft) which is already 8 inches/ 20 mm from the boom block then another 5 inches/ 12cm to go down the belly which is the only place you can mount a Spirit specially the Pro.

oh, i see im not the only with that problem

3Dfreak, please don't misquote me. I don't see it as a problem but rather just a mere suggestion to Tomas. Crimping a new jst or even soldering one is not a problem at all.

Your previous posts have been deleted because you've been spilling out unfounded information. And please, fix your English. If I were you I'll definitely be embarrassed.

We will offer different lengths of cables. You can also use our JST-Servo adapters to make a different lengths.
In any case we highly recommend making the cable as short as possible. So there is good reason why the length is such. Shorter = better.

Soon we will release guide which will describe optimal mounting conditions for the modules.

An option at least.

Awesome, Tomas!

Please, disregard my last suggestion. I don't even care now if no cable is included because of your rationale of why it's a specific length. I'll just custom build my own with no problem at all.

Hello, Pilots

I just want to give you an idea of mounting the GeoLink.

Am I ready or what?

You can use "cable tie mount" and double side tape, cable ties.

Thanks

Can you post a straighter side profile to see how it was attached.

The mounts are something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Cable-mounts-25x25-100pcs/dp/B003L16ZYU

Thanks

Well done, this should work pretty well.
Just make sure it is made from plastic. A bigger/massive conducting parts such as carbon frame, aluminium or similar are not optimal for GPS signal.
But for GPS modules the most parts are made from plastic, so linked stuff will work well.

We want some videos, Tomas.

Please? :D

I'm picking some of these. Colored black that will blend better on the boom. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WW8P83/ref=psdc_507844_t2_B003L16ZYU
