Would like to see Stabi Acro work like Stabi Normal.
Model is always pushed to the horizontal position in normal mode not
have the model have a TENDENCY for returning to the horizontal position.
If I'm flying in Acro inverted I WANT the model to get pushed to horizontal
position. That's the purpose of having Stabi.

I agree LOSTMYHELI.

I suggest you adjust the algorithm to make sure that the heli in stabi acro, return exactly to horizon when releasing sticks at center, not just in hovering as it does now, but also in flight shifted as B.D. does.
Best if we could calibrate the sticks priorities also in stabi-acro.

Then how does directional rate control affect the leveling ? I believe it should affect how fast the heli levels as you improve you increase the rate control thus delaying the leveling process and giving the pilot more time to use the sticks and level the heli on his own as his inverted flying improves. I believe B.D. works like that by adjusting gain to a point you can actually turn it off even though Acro is active.

lostmyheli: It is working in this way, but sticks must be released. With Acro mode it does not matter if it is inverted or not, it will return to the horizontal position in rate configured by Direction Control Rate parameter.
With Nornal it will not allow you to flip the heli as it is limiting the angle.
Sticks Priority can't be configured, because it is sharing the same configuration as for the normal flying.

However with Coaxial mode it is rather similar to Normal, but will allow you hovering also in inverted mode. The steering is completely direct there.

I think that METEOR is talking about a different thing, that we are investigating.

Tomas yes I understand the part of releasing sticks. Just asking about the Heli
not retuning to true level or horizon especially in ACro mode.
If you are investigating METEOR's suggestion then I assume you have it under control.
Thanks

Tomas'
Was this done for specific reason not having heli returning to level flight when releasing sticks ?

No, the heli should always return to the center position depending on the Direction Control Rate.

Please see these pages:

Tomas could you please go into more detail of how Directional Control works ?
If set to a higher value does this cause the heli to return to TRUE level flight only slower ?
Or does it return to close to level flight as described by METEOR ?
I'm committed to using Spirit just want to know what to expect as I will be transitioning
to Inverted flight soon.

Hello,
yesterday I had the chance to try with the last update 2.4.1 in stabi acro and I have to say that the stabilization has improved a lot: it return very close to the horizon releasing the stick, but still not the same as BD. In my opinion: yet a small correction to the algorithm would be advisable.
A thank you Tomas and his staff who got my suggestion and also from Lostmyheli.

PS another thing please if possible: to adjust the 'direction control rate' to intermediate values to better customize the stabilization rate
