Elevator filter should help to eliminate bounce-back of the elevator during agressive stick input.
Elevator pitch up compensation should eliminate problem with porpoising and other FFF related issues, but it is better to increase cyclic gain first and check if it is better.

Awesome, thank you. I'll bring my laptop today and mess with the settings at the field. Can't wait for bank switching to fine tune easier!

What flight style and cyclic feed forward do you suggest for the v-bar feel?

For V-Bar feeling you can set flight style to 6 and cyclic feed forward to cca 5-7, cyclic gain can be lowered little bit. TX Expo between 20-30%.

very nice,

I am very happy with how it is flying right now on the X3. Tx expo is set to 3%, Flight style at 4 and cyclic feed forward at 6.

Very precise feel but still smooth. Very pleased. It is more crisp than the v-bar but not quite as robotic as my ikon felt. Very pleased!

Will you be adding the ability to program expo into the FBL in the future or is this best done in the Tx?

Now that it is flying very well I want to get the cyclic gain to the proper point. I had it at 57 and didn't notice any weird behavior so I am going to try 59 next.

What specifically am I looking for and what maneuvers would an issue be most noticeable if my cyclic gain is too high? Trying to find the exact number it is supposed to be at for this heli

Builtin expos are not in plan at the moment, but may appear later.

Too high cyclic gain is causing mostly aileron problems, for example if you descending as if you want to do autorotation, then aileron can oscilate quickly but in small extent.
Then you can notice that during elevator tic tocs there could be oscillations too.

Awesome,

I'll look for oscillations today and see if the gains are too high.

Ok, I got to fly today and switched to the Microheli 68mm tail blades. They are HUGE, but, my tail gyro gain has gone down to 43 to get no tail wags in different maneuvers. Should I decrease my piro constancy and increase the tail gain or is it ok to have such a low tail gain now?

What is weird, is I was getting tail wag on pitch pumps. I also increased the cyclic gain from 57 to 59. Could the cyclic gain be casuing the tail wag in pitch pumps?

Also, I noticed in FFF loops I will get a bit of pitch up, should I decrease my cyclic gain back to 57 or should I add some points to the pitch up compensation?

Hi Jim,

if the tail efficiency is higher, you can lower Piro consistency parameter - too high value will always cause tail oscillations.
You can add pitch up compensation but also higher cyclic gain should only help with precision during FFF.

ok awesome,

I will lower my piro comp down a bit, Can't believe how much a difference the new tail blades made! I'll start at 160.

I'll add some pitch up compensation and continue to increase the cyclic gain till I see oscillations on elevator tic tocs and pitch pumps.

I am almost tempted not to mess with it as it was flying so good before, but, I think it can be improved even further if I get all the gains perfect.

My name is Jason by the way for future reference haha.

Thanks again as always! Having such great support from the developer is almost unheard of but really helps bring this unit to its full potential!
