I'm looking at what's possible using the Geolink with a standard unit. Is it possible to share the Sat port and continue using a Sat ?
My guess is that it's not possible however am hoping that's incorrect !!
Or is it now possible now with 2.5 to use a Sat shared with the Rudder Port as a single Sat setup ?

If not , this would mean the loss of use of the extra channels a Sat provides over using a Loom and RX setup. With the RX , you would be limited to the use of only 6 Channels due to the number of inputs available in the Standard unit if I'm correct !

It would appear the Pro is going to be a lot more flexible for setup of the Geolink features.

I was going to ask this too. I'd much prefer two sat on my 550 rather than 1.

Hello,

as you can see in the Changelog for 2.5.0 - there is new support to connect up to 3 satellites to small Spirit unit.
This mean that with GeoLink you can connect 2 satellites or 1 satellite and SPM4649T receiver.

Connection details will be available in the manual soon.

So the answers were just a click away

:EDIT:

From [Ver 2.5.0 Release!]

*Spektrum DSM2/X satellites:

Support for up to 4 satellites with Spirit Pro units - Primary, Secondary ports, RUD port - with Spektrum adapter, RUD/AIL - with Spektrum adapter or SPM4649T.
Support for up to 3 satellites with Spirit units - Primary port, RUD port - with Spektrum adapter, RUD/AIL - with Spektrum adapter or SPM4649T.
Support for up to 3 satellites with μSpirit units - Primary port, RUD port - with Spektrum adapter, RUD/AIL - with Spektrum adapter or SPM4649T.

Just a little confused with reference to RUD/AIL , could you please clarify ?

We will provide a wiring photos.

You will need 2 Spektrum adapters + Y-cable or just a modification where you can solder them together.
Eventually we might produce such cables all in one to make it as simple as possible. But if you have experience with soldering iron you can do it yourself.

It will have 4 wires in total - 2 for powering (from RUD port) and 2 signals - one for RUD and one for AIL pin

From what I understand this would be the correct connection?

Yes, that is perfectly correct.

In order to make sure that I have this correctly. I am assuming that I will have the y connector in the rudder port and connect both the Spektrum adapter v2 as well as the 2 pin port of the jeti integration cable to the other end of the y connector.
The 1 pin end of the Spektrum adapter v2 would go into the Eli/Pit/tail port, or I could solder a single cable that matches those specs together.
Is this correct?

Regards

You can solder it together, if I understand you correctly. But there should be 2 separate signal wires (one for RUD port and one for AIL pin). But both satellites (Spektrum adapters) will be powered from the same port (RUD port).

Got it. So in practice this could work for two satellites or for one satellite and a SPM4649T receiver. Thanks again.
