Hi Thomas,

I just setup my heli for telemetry with spektrum intigration.

When I bind the radio voiced bound with telemetry, I get signal strength from the rx but nothing else. I also cannot get into the settings menu from the blank screen.

Thanks

Ritchie

What ESC do you have? Different ESC use different telemetry cable. Also is the 4649T sending signals to Spirit, like if you go in diagnostic page can you see your stick inputs going to Spirit?

Also check:

1) Spirit flashed with new firmware and bootloader
2) Correct telemetry type selected in Spirit setup advanced menu
3) DSMX mode selected in Spirit setup
4) 4649T connected to Spirit in correct way per setup guide

I have flashed the firware, where do i find the bootloader ?

I have not connected the esc telemetry as yet as I more interested in changing settings from my radio.

The 4649 is connected as per the insructions, the heli operates fine

Hi,

when you connect only SPM4649T (no satellites) can you see that a channels are moving? (you can control the model).
I guess that yes.

Then the problem could be in the radio firmware. Is it at 1.20 version?

Bootloader can be flashed as per instructions in the Spektrum guide here:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... nding_mode

Yes I can control the model and it shows in the spirit software.

I have updated the radio to 1.2

The rx is not permanently in bind mode so i havent done the boot loader

Ah, so when you go to the ESC Status page, you can't even see that Throttle value is changing there?
Do you see --- instead of values or at least 0 values?

How very strange, I just simply created a new model, bound that and it works fine !!!

On another note, If i connect my esc via the sat port, i assume i will not then be able to use a sat as well as the receiver ? I have the original spirit unit with only one sat port.

That is correct. If your ESC requires telemetry cable going into sat port then you can't run sat with Spirit, and only 1 sat with Spirit Pro.
